Positano is right in the cruising area of the Amalfitana Coast. Naples and Pompeii are within easy reach.

Positano is connected to the city by a network of steep streets and steeps that go up and down. On the hillside, rustic houses, painted in colorful pinks and peaches, pile up. These houses and their beautiful color characterize this part of Italy and make Positano very recognizable.

Here you can visit Music on the Rocks, a local ultra-chic nightclub that is carved into a tower at the end of Spiaggia Grande.

The town is divided in two by an enormous cliff on which Torre Trasita rises. On the west side of Torre Trasita is the beach of Spiaggia del Fornillo. This is the less expensive side of the city. On the eastern side of the cliff is Spaggia Grande beach, and behind it is the city center. Positano does not have an endless number of attractions, it is more of a place to relax and immerse yourself in the atmosphere. However, there is a place worth seeing, the church of Santa Maria Assunta, with its 13th-century Byzantine Black Madonna and the little cherubs that sit behind the arches.
